Glencoe High School is a part of the Pacific Conference. The Pacific Conference features a mix of expansive outfields, sharp corner angles, and mostly natural grass fields. It rewards teams who play clean baseball, communicate effectively, and understand situational nuance. While there’s no extreme outlier park like Jesuit in the Metro, each field presents its own quirks—whether it’s Century’s deep backstop or Sherwood’s cavernous CF.
Field Location: 2700 NW Glencoe Rd, Hillsboro, OR 97124
Left Field 324 ft.
Right Field 310 ft.
Center Field 370 ft.
Backstop 40 ft.
Strategy: Right Field Alert
- RF is shallow—keep the ball away from lefty power or pay the price.
- Outfielders must anticipate ricochets and foul line bounces.
- Center and LF play deeper—position your fastest OF in center.
- Moderate backstop—defensive urgency must be high on balls in the dirt.
Offensive Game Plan
- Lefty hitters should be aggressive early—short porch to RF offers HR and double potential.
- Middle-of-the-order righties should aim for the left-center gap.
- Good place to test opposite field approaches—gap-to-gap strategy works.
